Summer of Hope: Transforming Lives Through First Peoples Voices

Summer is upon us, bringing excitement as people enjoy the warmer weather and outdoor activities. With vacation plans coming together, anticipation is on the rise.

Crossroads Cares and First Peoples Voices are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your faithful giving, Indigenous children and youth will have the opportunity to participate in summer camps and community outreaches this summer. These programs provide numerous benefits, helping children develop lifelong skills, learn teamwork, build resilience, and foster personal connections that boost their self-confidence.

In Prince Albert, vulnerable children from economically challenged families, including some who are unhoused, will experience the joys of camping and swimming for the first time. They will engage in positive and friendly connections through crafts, games, and outdoor sports. This experience brings children together in a faith-based, welcoming, and safe environment, making them feel like they belong.

You also played a role in providing summer sports equipment to ten reserves, encouraging children to engage in outdoor activities. By promoting physical activity, the children adopt healthier lifestyles and positive development.

We look forward to sharing stories and highlights from the camps once they conclude. Please keep this program in your prayers, as it is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Wishing you a restful and healthy summer!

Sincerely,

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,” Psalm 127:3
