For close to a decade or so, I kept my little family of four well-planned with soccer practices, swimming lessons, youth groups, summer camps, movie nights, and birthday parties. In March 2020, all that changed. Thanks to a global pandemic, most of our “plans” went out the window.

Everyone wants to belong. To feel as though you don’t belong is embarrassing, humiliating, and over time can become devastating. When conversations about family arise in Christian circles, some people feel excluded if they aren’t married, have 2.5 kids, and drive a minivan!

Crossroads and YES TV celebrates the life of Reverend David Hazzard, Crossroads and YES TV Board Member, who passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Rev. David Hazzard served as a Crossroads and YES TV Board Member since June 2018, and he will be remembered for his passionate heart for sharing the gospel and inspiring philanthropy for people to give to kingdom work.

There is no way I could have foreseen how God was going to shift and sift me this year. And not only me, but the entire Crossroads organization. As I look back, I can see God’s provision as He brought so many new things into my life.  I have seen God so beautifully unfold His plan…

“See Hear Love with Melinda Estabrooks” release featuring 50 contributors launches February 1, 2021. Over the last four years, Canadian faith-based television program See Hear Love has not just produced a new television show, but also developed a community of brave women and men who value honest conversations about justice, peace, inclusion, hope and faith. With a robust network of guests and deeply valuable content, the Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. production is releasing its first book, Always Know… (Word Alive Press), on February 1, 2021.

The primary function of darkness is to prevent you from seeing. In the wake of COVID-19, when all we hear, see, and talk about is crisis-related, many of us are left feeling defeated and hopeless. Consequently, the more we consume negative news and fix our gaze on our nation’s infection curve, the deeper into the darkness we fall.

I was alone in the house when the phone rang. It was my doctor. She had the results of my recent biopsy.

With your support, Crossroads can provide food, shelter, counselling, education and medical attention to victims of trafficking.

When COVID-19 led to summer camps being cancelled, it was sad news for children’s ministries and camps. Many activities were halted and moved to online platforms.

Crossroads received generous support allowing families from Canada, USA, and even in China, Nigeria, and Trinidad to attend our first Virtual Vacation Bible School on Castle.

Over $54,000 was raised in support through our generous donors, allowing us to host our very first Virtual Vacation Bible School this summer. On the week of August 10th, over 3,500 registered campers attended Bible learning, worship and fun activities that we had planned.
