Turkey/Syria Earthquake Relief Update
On Feb 6th, 2023, people in Turkey and Syria were struck with a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake, destroying buildings and eventually killing over 50,000 people.
The Honourable David C. Onley, former Crossroads and YES TV board member, passed to his eternal reward
Crossroads and YES TV celebrate the life of the Honourable David C. Onley, former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and former Crossroads and YES TV Board Member, who passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the age of 72.
Blessing 131 Communities this Christmas!
In our last update, we were so excited to share that we have received over $300,000 worth of Christmas gift! Well, the giving continued until November 5th and our total donation of products came to $552,000 in value, which is almost double what we had anticipated. The warehouse at Canadian Bible Society was packed to the rafters and three skids high in some places!

Finding Hope In 60 Seconds
Cristina Baker went viral on TikTok by posting 60-second prayers, which inspired her to share her story in her new book “Hope in 60 Seconds: Encountering the God of the Impossible.”
Finding Truth in Reconciliation
This month has been extremely profound. I sat glued to my computer and watched reporters in Rome cover the historic exchange between Pope Francis and Indigenous delegates from across Turtle Island (North America). Although the official apology was long-overdue, Indigenous trailblazers continued to communicate ‘it’s never too late to do the right thing’. The Pope’s detailed apology was another milestone on this collective path to reconciliation.

The God Who Brings New Life
For close to a decade or so, I kept my little family of four well-planned with soccer practices, swimming lessons, youth groups, summer camps, movie nights, and birthday parties. In March 2020, all that changed. Thanks to a global pandemic, most of our “plans” went out the window.

Everyone wants to belong. To feel as though you don’t belong is embarrassing, humiliating, and over time can become devastating. When conversations about family arise in Christian circles, some people feel excluded if they aren’t married, have 2.5 kids, and drive a minivan!
