Standing in Faith for Canada – 60 Years Under the Maple Leaf

This Saturday, February 15, we celebrate Canada’s National Flag Day, marking 60 years since the first official raising of the red and white Maple Leaf flag in 1965. As we wave our nation’s flag, we give thanks for our country, our freedoms, and the faith that has shaped our land.

For nearly 65 years, Crossroads Christian Communications has been serving Canadians with faith and media—even longer than our Maple Leaf flag has flown. Through the decades, we have stood as a voice of hope, prayer, and unity in our nation, reflecting Christ’s love across the airwaves and into hearts.

As we approach Valentine’s Day, a time when hearts turn toward love, we remember the greatest commandment:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind” (Matthew 22:37) and the call to love our neighbor as ourselves.

At Crossroads, we lift up the leaders of our nation, the spiritual needs of our communities, and pray for Canada to shine the light of Christ in this season. In a time of uncertainty, may we stand firm in faith, seeking unity, peace, and the guidance of the One who holds our future.
