Royal Anthems Releases “How Great The Love”: A Unifying Anthem for Canadian Churches
Burlington, ON, September 27, 2024 — Royal Anthems, a national worship initiative by Crossroads, today announced the release of their latest single, “How Great The Love.” This powerful communion song, written by Brandon Beckman, Joel Augé, and Luis Vargas, aims to unite Canadian churches through a shared musical experience.
“‘How Great The Love‘ is a liturgical approach to communion, emphasizing the value of remembrance,” says Joel Augé, Crossroads’ Chief Growth Officer and champion of Royal Anthems. “It beautifully connects the imagery of broken bread with Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.”
The song originated during a spontaneous moment in a Sunday morning service at Hope Bible Church in Oakville, where Brandon, Joel, and Luis all serve under the leadership of Robbie Symons, who is also one of 100 Huntley Street’s Bible Teachers. It was later professionally recorded at Crossroads and produced by Royal Anthems.
This release is part of Royal Anthems’ mission to create worship music that reflects Canada’s cultural diversity and unifies the Canadian Church. “The Royal Anthems project by Crossroads is meant to be a unifying force—something that brings everything together,” Augé explains. “We’re building infrastructure, like modern-day Roman roads, to ensure the gospel, the message, and these songs can be shared and reach people across the nation.
“How Great The Love” is now available on all major streaming platforms. It is the fourth in a series of Royal Anthems releases, following “Thank You,” “Good, Good Day,” and “Be Enthroned.”
Royal Anthems will record six more songs in early October, continuing their commitment to serving local churches with authentically Canadian worship music.
