Four Years On: Still Standing. Still Serving.

Four years after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the headlines have moved on—but the hardship has not.

For millions of Ukrainians, war is not a chapter that closed.
It is the air raid siren that interrupts sleep.
The long line for supplies.
The empty chair at the family table.

It is parents making impossible choices, and children growing up far too fast.
It is winter without reliable heat, nights spent in basements, and mornings that begin with uncertainty.

Four years on, daily life remains painfully fragile—especially for families living near the front lines. Homes have been damaged or destroyed. Jobs have disappeared. Supply chains remain broken. Access to food, clean water, and basic hygiene is still a daily struggle. The trauma is relentless. And the need is ongoing.

And yet—so is hope.

Because people like you have chosen not to look away.

Since the war began, Crossroads supporters have helped deliver over $1 million in life-saving aid directly to families living in crisis—many within reach of active fighting.

Together, we have:

  1. Impacted 165,485 people
  2. Distributed 40,800 food packages
  3. Delivered emergency supplies, clean water, and hygiene kits to families in urgent need
  4. Improved safety in orphanages by installing ventilation and drainage in bomb shelters, and repairing heaters, washrooms, windows, lighting, and more

Every food package represents more than nourishment.
It represents relief.
It represents a family making it through another week.
It represents someone knowing they have not been forgotten.

But the war has left one group especially vulnerable: orphans.

For children living in orphanages, fear and uncertainty are part of daily life. That is why our seminary ministry team visits matter so deeply. They bring more than treats—they bring presence, consistency, and reminders of God’s care. In places shaped by loss, these visits become lifelines of stability and hope.

And during the most recent Christmas season, while the war continued outside, 650 gifts were placed into the hands of orphaned children. Simple gifts—yet powerful reminders that joy, kindness, and love still exist. For a moment, children were allowed to be children again.

This is what compassion in action looks like.

But the work is not finished.

As we pass the four year mark of war in Ukraine, the needs remain urgent. Families still require food, heat, and clean water. Children still need safety, care, and hope. Communities are weary—and recovery will take time.

What happens next depends on whether we keep showing up.

This ministry exists because you gave.
Because you prayed.
Because you chose to act when it mattered most.

Now, Ukraine needs that commitment again.

Today, your generosity can help deliver food, emergency aid, and care to families and children who are still living in the shadow of war. Your kindness when it matters most, means survival, stability, and hope for those who have already endured so much.

Ukraine still needs us.
Give today.
