- Arthur and Mildred Winsor from Markham, ON: Our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences. "Life is real ! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal ; Dust thou art, to dust returnest, Was not spoken of the soul. Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time ; Longfellow"
- Joyce gray from Alliston: David was such an inspiration to me and my sister as we follow Jesus . Your love and compassion will surely be missed by all.
- Geraldine Lawrence from Upper Knoxford, NB: Love, prayers and condolences to you Norma Jean and all the Mainse family. David was a spiritual father to me and I am already missing him. Over the years 100 Huntley St. has blessed me and was my stay when caring for my mother. The outreach of "Household Salvation" encouraged my faith for the salvation of my father. It was a great experience for my mother and I to attend the opening of the new building. Then to be able to take the Israel Tour, to be baptized in the River Jordan and attend the World Pentecostal Conference was wonderful! And in the last five years to participate in 100Words.ca has been such an inspiration. Thank you Lord for sending your obedient servant David Mainse and God bless all you!
- Anne from Dartmouth: My sincerest condolences to the Mainse Family and the Crossroads Family. Thank you David Mainse for a a life well lived and for pouring out so much love to so many. David was instrumental in me making a commitment to Christ. I learned so much from him and the team in my early Christian days and am forever grateful to him and Crossroads. What a beautiful legacy he has left behind! I remember meeting David years ago at a meeting in Nova Scotia. I brought my Roman Catholic cousin who I was trying to lead to the Lord. He said to me, he glows and was very interested in having what he had. Now, many years later he will be ordained a priest soon and he does know the Lord:) I credit that to the conversation we had after that night when he made a commitment to Jesus! Thank you for opening doors for all denominations. Well done, thy good and faithful servant!
- Charles Hutton from Bowmanville: You are with the Lord now. We will miss you. My daughter asked if she was in the front row in the audience one day and David took her doll and gave it a hug. I said yes he did. She was happy it was for real and not a dream. I think it would be 34 years ago. A pleasure David. Thank you.
- Jan Lakins from Harrowsmith: Have watched David Mainse for many years. Have grown immensely by studying Gods word with him. My condolences to all of his family. Jan
- Ida from NEW LISKEARD: Dear Mainse family I am sorry to hear that passing of David Mainse my thoughts prays are with Ann and Ron Mainse Norman Jean too Ida
- Betty from Chaplin. Sask: Mainse family. Our loss is heavens gain. We shall all be together one day around the throne. Amen
- Daniel Ippolito – Former Pastor of Howard Park Pentecostal Church from Burlington, Ontario: God said of David the king of Israel "I have found David, the son of Jessie, a man after my own heart, who will do all my will." I believe God would say the same concerning David Mainse: "I have found a man after my own heart, who will do all my will. David Mainse has left all of us who knew him a great legacy - and our country of Canada, a great example of a Christian leader who, without fear and without compromise, declared God's message of truth and the gospel of Jesus to multitudes of listeners through five (5) decades of time on 100 Huntley Street and Crossroads Television and the extended Electronic Media. To God be the Glory! May God's comfort and strength uphold the Mainse family and may the 100 Huntley Street Leaders and Staff be strengthened, inspired and encouraged to continue the legacy left by David Mainse. David Mainse's ministry, his gentle spirit, compassion and love will be remembered by many for years to come. Daniel and Angie Ippolito
- Wanda from Kamloops: The celebration of life was amazing. Thank you for posting it in full. Thank you to mainse family for standing in the gap for Canada.
