Crossroads partners with New Life Assembly to extend 24/7 prayer line support in Tumbler Ridge
In response to the ongoing grief within the Tumbler Ridge community, Crossroads is partnering with New Life Assembly to extend the 24/7 Anyone Pray prayer line across the region, ensuring compassionate and confidential support is available at any time.
Grief does not pass quickly or neatly. It often comes in waves, sometimes quiet and sometimes overwhelming, returning when least expected. As the initial response gives way to long-term recovery, the need for steady spiritual and emotional care remains.
Through this partnership, members of the Tumbler Ridge community can call New Life Assembly’s Anyone Pray prayer line at 1-888-613-1145 to connect with a trained prayer partner at any hour. The model allows local church leaders to remain present within the community while being supported by a broader, national network of care.
The service is provided at no cost to the church or callers, made possible through the support of donors. It enables pastors Gerald and Tracy Krauss to continue offering in-person ministry while ensuring additional support is always available.
“We pastor the entire community, not just segments of our community,” said Pastor Gerald Krauss. “We want to be there for everybody as much as we can. The young people are so precious to us, and so are the families walking through this grief. Knowing there is prayer support available at any hour means our community is never alone.”
“This prayer line is going to be important as things settle and emergency support slows down,” said Tracy Krauss. “People will still need someone to pray with them in the days ahead.”
Crossroads Prayer Line Partners walk alongside Canadians through seasons of crisis, uncertainty and hope, offering care and prayer 24 hours a day.
“In moments like this, people don’t just need answers, they need to know they are not alone,” said Kevin Shepherd, CEO of Crossroads. “Through this partnership, we are standing with this community in prayer, trusting that God meets people in their grief and carries them through. Whether today or months from now, there will always be someone ready to listen, to pray and to remind them they are not walking this journey alone.”
Since 1977, Crossroads Prayer Centre has answered more than 14.5 million calls, walking with Canadians in some of life’s most difficult moments. To learn more or support this work, visit donate.crossroads.ca/prayerministry.
