Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief

Crossroads Cares Launches Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief Effort

Bringing Help and Hope to Those Affected by the Storm

In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, Crossroads Cares has launched an emergency relief effort to support families and communities affected by the storm.

When Hurricane Melissa made landfall, it left widespread destruction—homes damaged, power lost, and families displaced. As the storm subsides, the need for urgent help continues to rise. Crossroads Cares is responding through trusted local partners to provide immediate relief.

“Whenever disaster strikes, we respond with compassion, integrity, and faith,” said Cheryl Weber, Director of Crossroads Cares. “Our goal is to meet practical needs—like food, clean water, and shelter—while also bringing the hope and comfort of Christ to those who are suffering.”

Relief efforts include:

  • Emergency supplies: food, clean water, hygiene kits, and first aid essentials
  • Temporary shelter: tarps, tools, and materials to secure damaged homes
  • Spiritual and emotional care: comfort and prayer through Crossroads’ 24/7 Prayer Line
