A New Beginning Has Begun…

When Crossroads Cares started the Courage in Columbia project last year in partnership with Voice of the Martyrs, we shared with you the difficult conditions in which Colombian Christians were living. Many people face persecution for their faith in Jesus. Armed guerrillas and paramilitary forces are hostile towards Christians because of their obedience to God’s word and refusing to participate in the violent factions in their areas.

The families we connected with were living without proper housing, clean water and lack of food. They were living in tents and sleeping on plastic, with minimal blankets and in unsanitary conditions.

Thankfully, many of you compassionately responded. We are excited to let you know YOUR investment has begun to improve their lives!

The past few months have been very difficult due to social and political unrest in Colombia. However, the team on the ground, in faith, is working hard to keep things moving forward. Families will have a safer place to call home, away from the persecution that plagued them.

“Now faith is the confidence of what
we hope for and assurance about
what we do not see.”

– Hebrews 11:1

They live in the face of adversity every day, but their hope and faith in Jesus is what keeps them going. Your prayers and financial support remind them that they are not alone in this battle.

Together, we are expressing God’s love by each doing our part in a much larger picture. One that will impact the Kingdom of God. Please continue to keep our Colombian friends in your prayers.
