March 2025 Praise Report

At Crossroads, we believe in the power of prayer, partnership, and the presence of God at work across our nation. As we reflect on the past month, our hearts are full of gratitude—for the faithfulness of our community, the testimonies of transformation, and the undeniable ways God is moving in and through Canada.

National Prayer Map: A Movement of Unity

We have seen an incredible response to the launch of the National Prayer Map, a bold initiative inviting Canadians to mark their commitment to pray for our nation. We are especially thankful to the hundreds who have already pledged—and it’s only the beginning. This growing chorus of prayer reminds us that we are not alone. From coast to coast, believers are rising together in faith, standing in the gap for Canada.

100 Huntley Street’s Strong and Free: United in Prayer in Canada

Through powerful interviews and faith-filled conversations, 100 Huntley Street continues to provide a platform for influential faith leaders to discuss Canada’s future and encourage communities during these pivotal times.

David Guretzki, President and CEO of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC), shared his thoughts on a recent discussion: “On the same day that I was interviewed on 100 Huntley Street, EFC’s Director of the Centre for Faith and Public Life (CFPL), Julia Beazley, also took some time to talk about the current state of our parliament… Well worth the watch!”

Julia Beazley, Director of Public Policy at EFC, spoke about the church’s role in society: “My hope is that whatever happens, that we would see the church be the church. Whether there are good times ahead, or whether things become really challenging, that we would take seriously our calling to care for those around us who are struggling, who are vulnerable, and that implies to so many of the issues we talk about.”

Rebecca Vachon, Health Director of Cardus Canada, emphasized the importance of unity: “I think something that has surprised me in a good way has been the really diverse coalition of people that come together to raise concerns about vulnerable Canadians. This has been a really tremendous opportunity to work with people across different political views, across different faith views, or non-faith views, but who are united in the common cause that life matters, and we need to be good to one another and that includes protecting our most vulnerable, especially from a premature death.”

“Thank you for all you do to encourage beleaguered Canadians in this tumultuous time. It is such a blessing and gives hope to all. God bless you.” – Joanne*

“I haven’t stopped. I’ve been praying for our country and asking God to protect us all. Christians need to pray for our people and country.” – Carla*

Building Belonging: See Hear Love’s International Women’s Day

March also brought See Hear Love’s second annual International Women’s Day event at the Crossroads Unity Commons. Women of all ages and backgrounds came together to learn from Canadian Women Leaders, participate in roundtable discussions, and connect with other inspiring women.

“I must note the impact on the young women at the table from Kings Christian Collegiate. I was told the conversation was very good, and they were so inspired. Their eyes were opened to various careers, experiences, sadness, loss and victory. They spoke of hope in Christ, and that was impactful. More tables for young women next year! It’s about the next generation!” – Zuri*

“The eight of us at our table are new to See Hear Love, and everyone was blown away by the event. We are so blessed to be a part of this loving and inclusive community. You make it very special. There were different cultures among us, including sisters from Egypt, Cyprus and Nigeria, and we had a BLAST! We loved the table time chats where we laughed out loud and cried. There were powerful conversation starters and just enough time to share and connect. It was great. One of the girls with me is a non-Christian. I saw her take notes, and during one of the breakouts, she cried and hugged me, saying she always felt like she belonged when I was there. She knows this is Jesus’ work in our lives, and it was special to witness it.” – Amara*

“The incredible lineup of speakers was exceptional. There was such a collective wisdom, but they were also so relatable. Each speaker was so open and honest and brought unique insights that encouraged me so much, and from what I heard after the event, many others felt the same way. The topics were not only relevant but also deeply moving, and they encouraged me to think in new ways and believe that not only do I belong, but I have the ability and power to extend that beyond my small circle and create an environment and a posture of welcoming and acceptance to my “world.” – Elaine*

Breakthroughs in Prayer: Lives Touched at the Prayer Centre

Our 24/7 Prayer Centre continues to be a lifeline for many. This past month, we heard incredible stories of healing and hope that can only be explained by God’s faithfulness.

  • After years of being unable to attend church due to spinal pain, Gary* recently attended a service with manageable pain levels.
  • Darlene* called to share that her ovarian cyst has shrunk considerably following prayers.
  • One caller shared: “Last year, I called the prayer line when I was preparing for a major exam. I am so grateful to report that I passed. May the Lord continue to bless and strengthen Crossroads and all of your prayer partners.”
  • Even in loss, the Prayer Centre has provided comfort: “My son, Newton* passed away last month. He went home to the Lord after a terrible battle with cancer. After his passing, I had an amazing experience with another patient, assuring him he was home and healed. Thank you for caring. He loved it when I prayed with him. He was still and prayed so intently. I miss him dearly, but I know he is safe and happy. He suffered for a long time and is free now.”

Crossroads Cares: World Water Day

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our faithful donors in response to World Water Day, we are thrilled to share that we will be drilling one NEW well and refurbishing two wells. Together, we are bringing clean, life-changing water to three communities and impacting up to 3,000 people.

Crossroads Cares: Healing Along the Alaskan Highway

Former First Peoples Ambassador Bev Hadland led a team of intercessors to communities along the Alaskan highway—bringing love, truth, and the power of prayer.

“We could see the transformation of some of these people after our prayers. Individuals requesting prayer opened up, exposing deep wounds and addictions, confessing sins and repenting, ushering in healing and joy. Afterwards, they would ask for prayers for their loved ones. It was such a beautiful thing to be a part of. The spiritual strength of the team and knowledge of spiritual warfare helped break chains that have held these communities captive for decades. The faithfulness of our visits to simply come with God’s message of love and prayer has had an incredible impact. Three communities are planning on beginning their prayer groups. We praise God for victory in the power of prayer!”

Ignite Hope

Crossroads, one of Canada’s national treasures, calls on all believers to unite with us in reshaping Canada’s spiritual landscape and extending Christ’s love globally. Through our “Ignite Hope: Power in Unity” vision campaign, we aim to harness the power of unity in faith communities across Canada to restore hope in a dark world yearning for light. With God’s provision and the generosity of our faithful partners, we have already made significant progress toward our goal of raising $8.5M over the next three years. To date, we have raised $1,844,489, in year one, bringing us closer to making this vision a reality. We invite you to join us in three transformative unity projects: Anyone Pray, Royal Anthems, and our Ministry Hub situated at the Crossroads Unity Commons building. Together, we believe in the power of miracles and making the impossible possible. Join us in prayer for the continued success of this campaign as we step forward in faith and purpose.
