Crossroads Honours Canada Day with National Prayer Guide and ‘Huntley on the Road’ Special from Ottawa
As Canada Day approaches, Crossroads invites you to join a nationwide movement of prayer with our free Prayer Guide for Canada. Inspired by Psalm 72:8, “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth,” this guide is designed to unite and empower individuals and churches to pray for our nation.
Alongside this initiative, Huntley on the Road takes you to Ottawa for a special week of programming on 100 Huntley Street, airing from June 24th – July 28th. Last month, Lara Watson and Kevin Shepherd attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Ottawa, an event centered on praying for our leaders and fostering unity in our nation.
Throughout the week, 100 Huntley Street will take you on a journey as:
- Monday June 24: Greg Howes sees Ottawa from the sky in a bi-plane, National Prayer Breakfast highlights, MP Ed Fast shares how his faith has influenced his time as an MP.
- Tuesday June 25: Lara Watson and Kevin Shepherd take a tour of Parliament and reflect on the more than 25 Bible verses embedded in the Peace Tower, Cardus CEO Michael Van Pelt discusses his vision for the faith-based think tank, and first Korean-Canadian parliamentarian Senator Yonah Martin.
- Wednesday June 26: Howes Life looks for Signs of Life, MP Damien Kurek discusses the Young Christian Leaders Summit, and Liberal MP John McKay.
- Thursday June 27: Jon Ruby shares his redemptive story of going from drug addict to a preacher, and MP Arnold Viersen discusses his pro-life work in parliament.
- Friday June 28: National Chief Cindy Woodhouse shares her vision for First Nations in Canada and building bridges with Canadians.
Join Lara and Kevin as tour Parliament Hill, highlighting the significance of the more than 25 Bible verses embedded in Parliament’s Peace Tower. This journey underscores our commitment to changing Canada’s moral and spiritual fabric for the better.
