Crossroads/100 Huntley Street attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Ottawa on May 7, 2024, and captured stories from Ottawa for upcoming programming. The team, including Kevin Shepherd, CEO of Crossroads and YES TV, Melissa McEachern, COO and CCO of Crossroads and YES TV, and Lara Watson, Host and Executive Producer of 100 Huntley Street, gathered with 1,300 leaders to pray, the largest gathering in the history of the National Prayer Breakfast.
The team interviewed Grammy-winning artist Natalie Grant and her husband, Bernie Herms, a Canadian composer and producer who performed together at the prayer breakfast.
Since its inception in 1964, the National Prayer Breakfast has served as a pivotal event in Canada’s democratic landscape, bringing together national leaders, military personnel, and Canadians from all walks of life in a shared spirit of prayer.
Hosted annually under the guidance of the Speakers of the Senate and the House of Commons, the event welcomes a diverse array of attendees, including Christian faith leaders from Canada and beyond, Ambassadors, Members of Parliament, Senators, and citizens from across the country and around the world.
