Pray for Ukraine
On Feb 24th, 2022, parts of Ukraine woke up to the sounds of explosions and artillery gunfire. What has only been a few weeks for some is a lifetime ago for the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians trying to survive. More than 5 million people have fled the country, 7.7 million people are internally displaced or are still trying to escape, and many trapped and hiding in fear between conflict zones.
Thank you to our Crossroads Cares supporters, who have already responded quickly and compassionately. Our partners are providing food, water, emergency packs, shelter, and transportation to tens of thousands of people displaced in their homeland. Distribution centers have been established to receive and deliver relief items, and vehicles are transporting people to safer zones.
The innocent and most vulnerable always suffer the most in times of war, and this is when we need to respond, being the hands and feet of Jesus, expressing God’s love through care, compassion, and prayers.
Help is still desperately needed to provide food, shelter, and transportation to more internally displaced families and refugees as this invasion rages on.
Ukrainians face an uncertain future, but we serve a God who sees and loves them.
Together, we are igniting compassion and can be the answer to their prayers.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” 1 Timothy 2:1,2
“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer,” 1 Peter 3:12
