Hope in Action: Your Impact on 2,000 Lives in Madagascar
By Cheryl Weber, Director of Crossroads Cares
I am overwhelmed as I type this knowing that amidst financial cutbacks, escalating food prices, and economic uncertainty, your remarkable generosity has shone through as you responded overwhelmingly to support 2,000 families facing starvation in Madagascar. Your extraordinary response along with other caring individuals helped us to double our goal of $100K!! You have ensured every family will receive the essential food required to sustain them through this critical six-month dry season.
In November, myself and Jamie MacIntosh of World Renew shared on 100 Huntley Street the struggle families were facing in Southern Madagascar due to the lack of consecutive rain fall. Families were on the brink of starvation.
Your outpouring of support serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the power of compassion and solidarity in addressing urgent humanitarian challenges. It underscores the profound impact that collective action and empathy can have in alleviating the suffering of those most vulnerable in times of crisis.
On behalf of the families receiving the food, we say Thank You and God Bless You! We have successfully concluded our efforts to this project and trust you recognize the significant impact you have made towards its success.
