Ministry Prayer Representative

Crossroads is looking for someone to join our 24-7 prayer lines to answer the call of those who reach out to us in a time of spiritual need. Our commitment to prayer and its power to transform, heal, restore, and lead us and our loved ones to salvation is at the centre of who we are.
Purpose of position
On Call Pool Shifts
This position is a great fit for someone who is interested in working on a casual basis, filling in as needed. Available shifts will fall on weekend days/evening and overnight and some shifts through the week in the evenings or overnight.

Responsibilities
- Answer Ministry telephone calls, encourage caller with active listening, sharing scripture, prayer, and offering resources
- Complete necessary reports and forms.
- Attend Prayer Partner staff meetings and training opportunities
- Maintain a neat and presentable working environment when in the call centre
- Minister to others according to the founding principles of CCCI
Qualifications and experience
- Bible College or equivalent
- Consistent prayer & devotional life and Christian maturity
- Gentle and Christ-like servant attitude
- Good computer skills
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Excellent Communication skills – able to converse with those of various Christian denominational backgrounds
- Motivated self-starter, able to make decisions and require minimal direct supervision
- Ability to complete forms accurately
- Ability to speak French (or a second language) would be an asset
Requirements
- Must be able to work various shift days and times
- Current Pastoral reference
- Vulnerable sector Police clearance
- Must complete basic training requirements
