Imagine if that lifeline was miles away. This is the daily reality for 38 million Ugandans.
At Crossroads Cares, we’ve witnessed the joy that springs from a new well — children’s laughter replacing the toil of a miles-long trek for water. When I danced with them in celebration, my eyes welled up with tears — not of sorrow, but of overwhelming joy and gratitude for the countless compassionate individuals whose dedication has brought this dream to fruition.
THE DIFFERENCE A DROP MAKES:
- Health: Access to clean water means a decline in waterborne diseases.
- Education: With nearby water sources, children, especially girls, gain hours daily — time now spent in school.
- Safety: The journey for water can be dangerous. Wells in villages mean safety for all, especially women and girls.
- Economy: Water is prosperity. Farmers grow more, families thrive, and villages flourish.
We’re on a mission: 25 new villages will gain access to clean water this year. That’s 25 communities who can bloom with health, education, and economic growth.
