Royal Anthems Announces Release of “Good, Good Day”: Uniting Canadian Worship Leaders Through New Single

Burlington, ON, July 26, 2024 — Royal Anthems, a groundbreaking national worship music project, is thrilled to announce the release of its latest single, “Good, Good Day” available at royalanthems.com/songs. This inspiring anthem is the second release in a series of four powerful new worship singles, following the impactful debut of the project last month.

“Good, Good Day” emerged from the creativity and royalanthems.com/songs collaborative spirit of Canadian worship leaders who gathered at the songwriter’s retreat held at the Crossroads Unity Commons in Burlington, ON. The song celebrates unity and diversity within the Canadian church community, embodying the mission of Crossroads and Royal Anthems to capture Canada’s diverse worship expressions. The single features the voices of Luke Stones from Coastline Church in Victoria, BC; Jean-Daniel Labrie from Église Sans Frontière, Montréal, QC; and Terrance Richmond, Lead and Founding Pastor of LoveQuest International Church in Surrey, BC.

Luke Stones shares the inspiration behind “Good, Good Day,” emphasizing the collaborative efforts of the team and their vision for the Canadian church. For Stones, the song’s message is about embracing the authority given by Jesus and stepping confidently into the identity that God has bestowed upon them. He expresses excitement about how the song encourages the Canadian church to stand firm in its unique identity.

Jean-Daniel Labrie, a last-minute addition to the camper list, shared his unique experience: “It felt like a prophetic gesture, affirming that Quebec is truly part of Canada. I had never had the opportunity to participate in a songwriting event with fellow Canadians outside of Quebec. This was a first for me, and it was a beautiful experience. We wrote that song together.”

Terrence Richmond, who draws from his upbringing in Oakland, California, surrounded by gospel music, and his experiences in Canada, highlights the importance of merging different sounds to create something fresh and representative of Canada’s diverse culture. He notes that the song embodies a blend of gospel and contemporary styles, aiming to resonate with people from various backgrounds.

The Royal Anthems project, inspired by Jesus’ prayer in John 17:23, seeks to unite believers across Canada through original worship songs. By empowering local worship leaders to create music that reflects Canada’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity, the project addresses a gap in Canada’s worship music landscape, which has traditionally relied on imported worship music.

GRAMMY®-nominated producer Jeff Schneeweis, known for his work with Steffany Gretzinger and Chandler Moore, has lent his expertise to ensure the highest production standards for the worship project. “The people involved are real, honest, and talented. I’m having the time of my life working with them,” Schneeweis shared, tagging @RoyalAnthems on Instagram and highlighting their mutual commitment to authenticity and excellence in worship music.
