Uganda Update – January 2021

Thanks to the overwhelming response from our viewers this past summer, Crossroads Cares is excited to report that 18 new communities in northern Uganda have clean drinking water.

Approximately, 13,980 people are now able to walk a short distance and have access to clean water for drinking, cooking and cleaning.

Not only will it improve their health and well-being, it will also free up time for children to attend school and helps the women in their daily responsibilities.

We are also thrilled to report 25,485 pounds of beans and maize was distributed to 257 families who were affected by the Coronavirus and having access to food.  The elderly, single parent homes, HIV Positive and the disabled received bags of food to help them during this time of crisis.

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
Proverbs 19:17

It was brought to our attention an elderly disabled gentleman who was a recipient of the feeding program was in desperate need of a new roof for his one room home. Mr. Omedi was beyond pleased to not only have his roof replaced, but he also received a new mattress, sheets and netting for his bed. A small act of kindness has improved his life. All in the name of Jesus.

Together, we are saving lives through clean water and feeding programs.  We couldn’t have done any of this without your support.

Thank you!
