Lorna talks with Context’s Rome Correspondent about Italy’s shutdown after COVID-19 spread rapidly across the country. 60 million people are in quarantine. All public masses are cancelled until April 3rd – making life difficult for many Catholics to celebrate Lent. Sanders says this is having a huge economic impact on small businesses that rely on tourism, but people are respecting the guidelines to ensure coronavirus doesn’t spread.
