Gary Thomas joins 100 Huntley Street all of March on new Book “When to Walk Away”

100 Huntley Street has always advocated for growing Christians to be effective for Christ through their testimony. But what happens when toxic people get in the way of God’s purpose for your life? Bestselling author Gary Thomas graced our studio audience to answer some tough questions based on his new book, “When to Walk Away, Finding Freedom from Toxic People.”

Thomas spoke about minimizing toxic relationships, what a toxic person looks like, and what to do when in a toxic relationship. Thomas said, “Every toxic person is difficult but not every difficult person is toxic.” Thomas taught how to differentiate the difficult and the toxic people as well as how to protect our faith while sharing it with the world as God instructed.

During the studio event, we were privileged to host a live studio audience that had the chance to ask Thomas questions and get answers right then and there. One question that was asked was about how we know when to leave a toxic person. Thomas answered with similar rule of those as a lifeguard. If the person you are trying to save is bringing you down with them, you must let them go. Thomas ended the conversation with a reminder for us all that we are to bring healing and redemption in the name of Jesus throughout our lives and relationships.

Here at 100 Huntley Street we are very excited to announce that Gary Thomas will be featured on our program for the month of March – drawing from biblical and modern stories to equip you with practical insights to handle toxic people in your life and live true to your God-given purpose.
