Courage in Colombia – Update Jan 2021

A New Year, and what a year it has been!

The world has faced a pandemic that is still raging in many countries, fear and uncertainty of the future is plaguing many, and yet, we have hope!

Christians in Colombia can attest to that. Especially in the mountainous region where Crossroads Cares   and our partner has had the opportunity to help 30+ families relocate. Last year, we shared about our new project, Courage in Colombia. Christians in Colombia need courage because of the persecution many of them face for their faith in Jesus. We shared with you the difficult conditions they were living in without proper housing, clean water and lack of food. Members of the community were living in tents, they were sleeping on plastic, with minimal blankets and unsanitary conditions.

Thanks to the compassionate response from our viewers, these persecuted families re-established themselves into this new community. We supplied the materials needed to repair walls and roofs and construct safer homes for families.

Seeds and tools were supplied to the community so they could create gardens for food security and income. A clean water system was installed to help reduce sickness within the community. Despite the challenges and shortages of supplies brought on by the pandemic, they have persevered and worked hard to re-establish their lives in a new place with renewed faith.

“Now faith is the confidence of what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

They live in face of adversity every day, but their hope and faith in Jesus is what keeps them going. Your prayers and financial support remind them that they are not alone in this battle.

Together, we are expressing God’s love by each doing our part in a much larger picture. One that will impact the Kingdom of God. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

Thank you!
