Host Paul Willoughby

Paul was born and raised in Toronto and was the second youngest of five boys. His parents real and practical faith in Jesus Christ had a profound influence upon his life.  As a result and as a young teenager of fourteen, Paul surrendered his life and future to Jesus Christ.

After high school and Bible College graduation, he began full time ministry. It was during their first pastorate in 1975, that Jesus Christ laid a burden on his heart for late-night television. "Alive Now" was a pilot project that was seen over CKWS-TV in Kingston, Ontario in October 1976. One of Paul's guests was David Mainse. As a result, David invited Paul to be the first guest co-ordinator of 100 Huntley Street which went to air in June 1977, working alongside Norma-Jean Mainse as an Associate Producer.

Since those first few years of 100 Huntley Street, Paul has pastored in  Canada as well as serving overseas with his wife and family in Uganda and India, gaining invaluable cross-cultural experience. Returning to Crossroads in 1998, it is now his delight to Produce Nite Lite "Live", and to host the program Monday through Thursday.

Paul has been married to his beautiful bride Gloria, since 1972. They have three grown children: Joel (1975), Jonathan (1977) and Rebecca (1980). .Joel married Amanda Kraft in July 2003 in Langley, B.C. and together they serve at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Abbotsford, B.C., where Joel is Youth Pastor. On October 30, 2004 Paul had the privilege of marrying their son Jonathan to Vera Kapitonova in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. Jonathan and Vera now serve in southeast Asia doing humanitarian and other related work. Their daughter Rebecca married Nathan Rowan in September 2001, a few days after 9/11. Rebecca and Nathan have given Paul & Gloria two beautiful granddaughters - Ivy Madeleine (09/27/04) and Lily Angelina (05/30/06). Rebecca, Nathan and the girls live in Langley, B.C., where Nathan works with physically and mentally challenged adults.
