Salsa and Guacamole

SALSA - RESTAURANT STYLE
Ingredients
- 6 - Tomatoes (very
ripe, medium sized - finely diced)
- 1/2-Onion (medium
sized - finely diced)
- 1/2-Green Pepper
(finely diced)
- 1-Jalapeño
Pepper (seeds removed - finely diced - add more if you like it hotter)
- 3-Garlic Cloves
(finely diced)
- 1/2 Cup Cilantro
(fresh, finely chopped)
- 1-Lime (freshly
squeezed)
- 1/2-Lemon (freshly
squeezed)
- Hot Sauce to taste
- Salt & Pepper
to taste
Instructions
- Mix the above
ingredients in a mixing bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours
- Feel free to add
more or less of the above ingredients to your taste
- To allow all the
flavours to meld together you can refrigerate over night
- Serve with Restaurant
Style Tortilla Chips (in the Health Food section of your favourite grocery
store)
GUACOMOLE
Ingredients
- 6-Avocados (very
ripe)
- 2-Cups of Salsa
(see recipe above)
- Feel free to add
more or less Salsa to your taste
- 1/2 Lime (freshly
squeezed
- 1/4 Lemon (freshly
squeezed)
- 2-Garlic Clove
(finely diced)
- Hot Sauce to taste
- Salt & Pepper
to taste
Instructions
- Cut Avocados in
half and remove pits
- Remove (with a
teaspoon) the Avocado from the skin and put in a mixing bowl
- Mix Avocadoes
with fork to desired texture
- Add Salsa and
mix together and let stand for 1 hour to allow ingredients to meld together
- Serve with Restaurant
Style Tortilla Chips (found in the Health Food section of your favourite
grocery store)
