Slow Cooker, Stir Fry, BBQ

Pork (cubed or strips or whole chops) 2 lbs 8 lbs 12 lbs 16 lbs
Soy Sauce 2tsp 3 tbsp 1/4 cup 1/3 cup
Mustard (prepared) 1 tsp 4 tsp 2 tbsp 3 tbsp
Worcestershire Sauce 3/4 tsp 1 tbsp 1 ½ tbsp 2 tbsp
Brown Sugar 1/4 cup 1 cup 1 ½ cups 2 cups
Pepper (black) 1 ½ tsp 2 tbsp 3 tbsp 1/4 cup
Vinegar 1/4 tsp 1 tsp 1 ½ tsp 2 tsp
Ketchup 2 tbsp ½ cup 3/4 cups 1 cup
Apple Juice 1/3 cup 1 1/3 cup 2 cups 2 2/3 cups
Corn Starch 1 tbsp 1/4 cup 1/3 cup 1/2 cup
         
Zipper Bags (large) 1 4 6 8

Method:

  1. Label Bags:

    Barbecue Pork Chops
    Slow Cooker
    - 4 - 5 hours on high or 6 - 8 hours on low
    Stir Fry- stir fry until center of meat is white.
    BBQ - med to high heat until center of meat is white


  2. Place 2 lbs of pork into each zipper bag.
  3. Combine all ingredients except apple juice and cornstarch. Dissolve cornstarch in apple juice and add to other ingredients.
  4. Distribute evenly amoung all bags. Remove air, seal bags and freeze.

Hints:
We listed cubed pork to give more cooking and serving options, however this recipe works great with pork chops grilled on the BBQ

For the BBQ:
Take the pork chops out of the sauce and grill. Meanwhile put remaining sauce in a small saucepan on the stove and cook to thicken (add more cornstarch mixed with a small amount of water if necessary). Serve sauce over cooked pork chops or on the side.

Serving Suggestions:
Using cubed pork allows you to serve this dish over rice – with its succulent sweet and sour sauce it is truly delicious. Add oven roasted potatoes and stir-fried vegetables to this meal to enhance the colour and make it truly complete.
