If so, you need to call on Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Peace is a product of the Holy Spirit's actions (Gal. 5:22). It comes as you give preeminence (focus of attention) to the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 26:3).
What Scripture Says
"He who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalm 91:1)."You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3).
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understand- ing, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6,7).
"Therefore do not worry...for your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things (your needs) shall be added to you" (Matt. 6:31-33).
How To Find Peace
The primary need for all people is the salvation of their souls. When the Prince of Peace dwells within us, the Holy Spirit is able to produce His peace within us (Romans 10:13; 1 John 1:9; John 1:12.)It is the Holy Spirit who empowers you for service, leads you into truth, comforts you and works mightily within you to give you victory over every situation of life which would rob you of your peace in God. Ask for and receive the Holy Spirit now (Luke 11:13).
When worry and wrong actions or attitudes are present, faith is absent. Born-again, Spirit-filled Christians have received the spirit of adoption. We know our Father in such an intimate way (and are known by Him), that we can call Him "Abba" or "Daddy." The inheritance of His children is ours. Peace is included in that inheritance.
God's Word promises that we are to be recipients of the fruit (qualities) of the Holy Spirit. Peace is one of those qualities (Galatians 5:22).
Gaining peace is often a matter of changing our priorities. Honour and respect God instead of worrying over your lack of peace (Isaiah 26:3). When you praise Him, you enthrone Him instead of the thoughts and emotions that rob your peace (Psalm 22:3). As you bless Him with your praise, He will bless you with His peace.
No matter what may disturb you and cause your sense of well-being and peace to flee, you can give thanks and praise to God for it. Be assured that He intends to work even the most unlikely or seemingly impossible situations to the good of those who love Him (Ephesians 5:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Romans 8:28).
Begin to thank and praise God in every need, and especially when you need assurance of His concern and saving power. Continue to honour God in praise until peace comes and joy springs up in your heart (Hebrews 13:15). The resulting joy and peace indicate that God accepts your praise.
Finally, transform your thinking and actions. Start by intensively searching the Scriptures regarding your freedom in Christ, and strength as a Christian. Also, faithfully attend your church. Study God's Word and spend time daily in prayer and worshipful praise to Him. His peace is yours as you seek Him.
As You Pray
In the authority of Jesus, bind demonic spirits. Command them to flee in Jesus' name. Thank and praise God for His peace to you. Minister praise and thanksgiving to God regarding the fruit of the Spirit being given to you. Rejoice in the Lord in all circumstances. He wants to give you the desire of your heart.Suggested Reading
