Telephone Prayer Partner – Shift Captain

• Ensure all prayer partners have a time of devotion and corporate prayer and to coordinate break times in order that the phones remain covered.
• Ensure home agents are contacted.
• Provide guidance to volunteers and staff with regard to unique and/or crisis phone calls and/or contact appropriate authorities.
• Provide orientation for new prayer partners and assistance when necessary.
• Monitor prayer partners on a monthly basis to ensure phone procedure is kept.
• Ensure training room is neat and orderly.
• Assist with staff prayer partner monthly scheduling.
• Communicate and delegate as appropriate, information and work responsibilities as indicated by the Director.
• Answer ministry phone calls, encourage caller with active listening, sharing scripture, prayer and offering resources.
• Complete necessary reports and forms.
• Attend Prayer Partner staff meetings and training opportunities.
• Maintain a neat and presentable working environment.
• Minister to others according to the founding principles of CCCI.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bible school training or equivalent ministry experience.
• Ongoing regular church involvement and pastoral reference.
• Consistent devotional life and Christian maturity.
• Gentle and Christ-like servant attitude and pleasant telephone manner. Ability to read, readable hand writing, ability to complete forms accurately.
• Must be able to work various shifts.
• Must be willing and able to take the necessary basic training.
• Ability to work well with various denominational and ethnic backgrounds.

Telephone Prayer Partner

1. Answer Ministry telephone calls, encourage caller with active listening, sharing scripture, prayer, and offering resources.
2. Complete necessary reports and forms.
3. Attend Prayer Partner staff meetings and training opportunities when feasible.
4. Assist with office work and volunteer prayer partners, as required.
5. Maintain a neat and presentable working environment.
6. Minister to others according to the founding principles of CCCI.

• Consistent prayer & devotional life and Christian maturity.
• Gentle and Christ-like servant attitude.
• Pleasant telephone manner.
• Bible College or equivalent.
• Church involvement and pastoral reference.
• Must be able to work various shifts.
• Ability to work well with people, including various denominational and ethnic backgrounds.
• Motivated self-starter, able to make decisions and require minimal direct supervision.
• Must complete basic training requirements.
• Ability to complete forms accurately.
• Readable handwriting.
• Ability to speak French would be an asset.
