Tour Guide
Crossroads' 50th Anniversary Event Team has the following full-time, summer position available:Reporting:
Reports directly to the 50th Anniversary Event Coordinator
Summary Statement of Objective and Scope:
A tour guide leads visitors through points of interest on the 50th Anniversary Crossroads tour. He/she will be expected to study and memorize a tour script as well as various details, past and present about Crossroads. This role represents Crossroads in a very public way and the successful candidate must be professional, flexible and warm in working with the public.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead visitors, individually or in groups, on tours through and around the Crossroads Centre
2. Ensure itineraries are followed and that customers are being informed in an entertaining, informative, and consistent manner
3. Responsible for ensuring the safety of the group and ensuring that tour groups remain together
4. Describe points of interest along the tour and answer questions as required
5. Engages our guests and keeps their focus on key topics of interest while highlighting the visual artifacts and other venue offerings
6. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must be customer service focused, outgoing and sensitive to the various requirements and requests of our guests
• Self-motivated and willing to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Great communication skills
• Experience in guiding tours is a definite asset
• Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills are essential

Customer Service Representative

This position is responsible for selling tour tickets and merchandise and serving guests on the phone and in person. This role represents Crossroads in a very public way and the successful candidate must be professional, flexible and warm in working to the public.
Responsibilities:
1. Sell tickets for admission to 50th Anniversary Crossroads tour
2. Accept and process payment transaction
3. Answer with confidence, questions related to the tour, our Anniversary and Crossroads
4. Keep a daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets and merchandise sold
5. Process ticket and product sales in person, by telephone and online
6. Provide a high level of customer service
7. Assist with group ticket sales, when necessary
8. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated and willing to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Experience in handling cash, credit card sales, and deposits
• Experience in fast paced retail environment is an asset
• Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, time management, organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills are essential

Crossroads' Content Department Division: Faith Productions has the following full-time position available:Reporting:
Reports directly to the Executive Producer, Faith Productions. Functional relationships with: Chief Content Officer; Executive Producer, Values Programming; Director, Assignment Desk; Reporters; Production Staff, Freelancers, and Contributors.
Summary Statement of Objective and Scope:
This is a new position with exciting opportunity to help launch a fast paced, digital, online news platform. Must be a news enthusiast with proven ability to lead and develop people through a multitude of tasks and information. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will thrive in a high intensity digital news room, turning out breaking news, feature stories, and investigative reports.
Must maintain a Bible-based, Christ-centered perspective while working with editors and reporters to delve deeper and connect the dots on movements and trends within their respective disciplines.
Responsibilities:
1. Resourcing – used by permission content of National Newspapers, Christian Journals and bloggers.
2. Resource up to 25 key contributing writers.
3. Develop the site to not only inform readers, but drive traffic.
4. Coordinate coverage of the top stories in Canada.
5. Pull content of international interest from Christian Post.
6. Ensure timeliness of news compared to competitors.
7. Ensure that teams produce significant exclusives and compelling stories.
8. Write compelling hard news articles, analysis, features, interviews, and investigative stories.
9. Liaison with Christian Post US.
Qualifications:
• Must agree with Crossroads Statement of Faith.
• Show scalable ability to manage any number of reporters, freelancers, and contributors.
• Experience within a news media environment.
• Drive ideas for exclusives, analysis and feature stories.
• Be able to adapt quickly to the latest editorial technology.
• Deploy multimedia collaboration.
• Work effectively with content contributors across a range of geographies and specializations.
• Be comfortable in a start-up environment.
• Be comfortable in a digital newsroom.
• Familiarity with Associate Press style.
