Director, Corporate Communications

Crossroads/CTS/Tricord Media has the following one year contract available:

Purpose of this Position:
The Corporate Communications Director will represent and support the organization's vision, faith and values philosophy through the development and execution of strategic media relations, thought leadership and communications programs that increase positive industry awareness of Crossroads, CTS, and Tricord Media. This Director will further the external image and reputation through effective communication to key external audiences, primarily the media and industry influencers, but also donors, stakeholders, viewers, and corporate partners. The Director will collaborate closely with marketing and business executives and outside agencies on key communication initiatives.

Reporting:

Reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer with functional relationships with the Executive Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute multiplatform communications strategies and plans.
2. Collaborate with and manage outside agencies/support.
3. Support an internal, external, and corporate communications strategy.
4. Identify risks in the organization and manage the crisis communications strategy.
5. Leverage and manage existing relationships and build new relationships with members of the press (and organizations) to drive positive coverage.
6. Create comprehensive and compelling press materials (e.g. news releases, strategic messaging and talking points, Q&As etc.) to support communications goals and marketing campaigns.
7. Support the creation and promotion of marketing campaigns with effective corporate communications.
8. Author articles for distribution in press blogs/magazines.
9. Foster and maintain partner relationships.
10. Create Crossroads Weekly e-Newsletter.
11. Conduct assessment of donor mailings - language, tone, frequency.
12. Update 52 Week PR Chart and weekly communication from Crossroads, CTS + Tricord Media.
13. Monitor PR and respond accordingly.
14. Contribute to corporate social media sites, such as: PR Twitter handles, Crossroads Facebook page and blogs.
15. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
• University degree in Communications or Broadcast Journalism or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of strategic communications/PR experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication. Writing excellence when crafting internal and external corporate communications, including memos, press releases, newsletters, etc.
• Ability to translate key strategic business or donor issues into messaging that resonates with media, influencers, partners and prospects.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with others while driving measurable results.
• Foundational knowledge of broadcast environments an asset.

Corporate Legal Clerk

Crossroads/CTS/Tricord Media have the following position available:

Purpose of this Position:
To create, administrate and ensure the fulfillment of all legal documents, agreements and obligations. In this role, the individual also supports the organization from a regulatory and legislative perspective ensuring we are up to date on changes, requirements, communications and policies for those changes. He / she drafts contracts and diarizes fulfillment of contractual obligations the organization must deliver or should receive.

Reporting:
Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer with functional relationships with the Executive Team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Supports Executive team in the review of all legal or corporate documents and provides recommendations and or advice as required.
2. Co-ordinates contract administration activities.
3. Analyze contract terms, identify implications for the organization and areas of possible risks.
4. Tracks and diarizes all contract outcomes and deliverables, escalating with risk assessments, where obligations may be missed.
5. Advises team of considerations, risks and implications regarding in contract negotiation and development.
6. Responsible for closure or renewal process on all term contracts.
7. Conducts research for preparation of documents and remains current on industry standards/clauses.
8. Creates management and control procedures in-house for the administration, filing and archiving of legal documents.
9. Works with external Legal Counsel when required.
10. Provides updates to all parties of contractual terms, conditions, documentation and other requirements by way of regular reporting.
11. Participates in meetings, reviews drafts, revises and files correspondence related to corporate contracts.
12. Verifies and issues contractual notices to meet contractual requirements.
13. Diarizes and monitors progress of delivery schedules.
14. Ensures appropriate sign offs are obtained.
15. Contacts clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
16. Escalate contract disputes and track resolution of same.
17. Works collaboratively with all departments to support and educate on contract management.
18. Creates templates for standardized contracts within the organization.
19. Other duties as required

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business/ college diploma in a legal assistant or law clerk program
• Min 5 years’ experience in contractual and document management
• Experience with Broadcast industry contracts an asset

Ministry Care Representative

Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. has the following casual/part-time pool position available:

Hours of Work:
Work hours scheduled for this position include shifts which fall in the following shift rotations:

8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., 4:00p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and 12:00 a.m. to 8:00a.m.

Therefore the selected candidate will be available to be scheduled in each of these time frames: morning, afternoon and overnight shifts. Also, the selected candidate will be considered “on call” which, in some cases, may result in limited notice to cover a shift and therefore will need to have the flexibility to accommodate the ‘on call’ requirement.

Reporting:
• Reports directly to the Manager of the Ministry Centre

Responsibilities:
• Answer Ministry telephone calls, encourage caller with active listening, sharing scripture, prayer, and offering resources
• Complete necessary reports and forms. Attend Prayer Partner staff meetings and training opportunities when feasible
• Assist with office work and volunteer prayer partners, as required
• Maintain a neat and presentable working environment
• Minister to others according to the founding principles of CCCI

Qualifications:
• Consistent prayer & devotional life and Christian maturity
• Gentle and Christ-like servant attitude
• Pleasant telephone manner
• Bible College or equivalent
• Church involvement and pastoral reference
• Must be able to work various shifts
• Ability to work well with people, including various denominational and ethnic backgrounds
• Motivated self-starter, able to make decisions and require minimal direct supervision
• Must complete basic training requirements
• Ability to complete forms accurately
• Legible handwriting
• Ability to speak French would be an asset
