Ministry Care Representative (Weekends)
Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. has the following casual/part-time pool position available:Reporting:
• Reports directly to the Manager of the Ministry Centre.
Responsibilities:
- Answer Ministry telephone calls, encourage caller with active listening, sharing scripture, prayer, and offering resources.
- Complete necessary reports and forms.
- Attend Prayer Partner staff meetings and training opportunities when feasible.
- Assist with office work and volunteer prayer partners, as required.
- Maintain a neat and presentable working environment.
- Minister to others according to the founding principles of CCCI.
Qualifications:
- Consistent prayer & devotional life and Christian maturity.
- Gentle and Christ-like servant attitude.
- Pleasant telephone manner.
- Bible College or equivalent.
- Church involvement and pastoral reference.
- Must be able to work various shifts.
- Ability to work well with people, including various denominational and ethnic backgrounds.
- Motivated self-starter, able to make decisions and require minimal direct supervision.
- Must complete basic training requirements.
- Ability to complete forms accurately.
- Legible handwriting.
- Ability to speak French would be an asset.

Director of Major Gifts
Reporting:Reports to the Chief Development Officer and works collaboratively and strategically with the CEO, the Executive, and other fundraising professionals
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for soliciting significant gifts from key stakeholders of the ministry of Crossroads
• Manage relationships with approximately 200 prospective donors and will be expected to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward this key group of individuals
• Works collaboratively with other development and Executive staff, to cultivate and solicit donors for ministry priorities.
• Monitors all prospect contacts to ensure positive and purposeful prospect and donor relations.
• Planned Giving Program--identify planned giving prospects; develop appropriate strategies for cultivation with the end point being confirmation of a planned gift to Crossroads.
• Manage a portfolio of 200 primary prospects in Canada
• Manage a staff of Major Donor Field Reps to assist with prospect activity
• Travel throughout Canada at least three times a year.
• Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle: Initiate contacts with potential leadership and major gift donors Develop appropriate cultivation strategies for them Lead potential donors in an appropriate and timely fashion toward solicitation and closure
• Make requests/appeals when appropriate Maintain stewardship contacts with donors; adhere to the highest ethical standards; demonstrate empathetic disposition; reflect optimistic and positive attitude, and convey sensitivity to needs of the donors
• Work collaboratively with Executive team and key stakeholders of the ministry to fulfill goals and objectives of the Major Gift Department
• Planned Giving Program--identify planned giving prospects; develop appropriate strategies for cultivation of all types of planned gifts
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all major fundraising activities and special projects, including managing existing Major Donor Field Reps Experience &
Qualifications:
• Must be a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships and ability to share Crossroads unique vision.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred
• Ten years + successful experience in major or planned gift fundraising preferably in the Faith based charitable sector
• Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and the ministry
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage department
• Successful experience in making cold calls as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
• Computer literacy, with experience with fundraising databases preferred
• Must be willing to travel.
• CFRE designation an asset

Catering Manager, The Crossroads Centre
Crossroads Christian Communications Inc. has the following full-time position available:Summary:
The Catering Manager of the Crossroads Centre will liaison with internal and external constituents to plan and manage all bookings within the Crossroads Centre facility. He/She will work closely with the Manger of Events, Live to achieve superior quality in service and hospitality for the attainment of excellence in the overall Constituent Experience.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budget for Café operations
- Responsible for all facility bookings presenting constituents and potential customers with all considerations and options to achieve the desired results for their event
- Create and present professional materials to prospective customers highlighting the Crossroads Centre facility and Event options
- Create multiple choices for innovative, creative décor and themes for presentation to potential customers
- Research and develop a variety of menu plans for conferences, weddings and other specialty events
- Prepare estimates to include all event details and terms of contract and submit to potential customers for consideration
- Coordination of event logistics
- Responsible for The Crossroads Centre Event calendar which includes all booked functions whether reoccurring or singular, and for all Event rooms, halls, studios and grounds
- Create and monitor budgets for each event and provide information to finance for final invoicing
- Create customer payment structures to include down payments and installments for larger functions as required
- Ensure all equipment for events are arranged through vendors and/or create and submit work orders for all in house equipment use and set up requirements. Ensure equipment is assembled and in place prior to event
- Source and vet vendors and suppliers for external supply purchases
- Negotiate with suppliers for cost effective and competitive pricing levels as well as overall relationship management for all food service vendors and where needed the negotiation of contracts on behalf of The Crossroads Centre ensuring appropriate costing and quality of supplies/service provided
- Oversee the management of the operations of the Crossroads Centre Café in conjunction with the Food Services Supervisor
- Assist in the preparation of food items as required.
- Ensure all event staff are briefed and coached on expectations to include Event Personnel, Facility manager, Event Security, and production and/or technical personnel if required
- Assist Human Resources in recruitment of food services staff.
- Oversee the performance of food servers in coordination with the supervisor of Food Services.
- Ensure service levels and commitments to constituents are achieved as per the booking agreement and The Crossroads Event Centre quality standards
- Plan Café menu and specials, and set pricing based on profit margin as set in annual budget.
- Research and provide various options for cost saving opportunities and preparation of cost.
- Work with Marketing department to advertise Café menus and signage, ensuring brand is captured in all materials
- Responsible for the entering and maintenance of accurate constituent contact data in the CRM
- Ongoing consultation with Health and Safety Captain to ensure compliance with equipment and food service handling.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary culinary training and completion of apprenticeship including certification
- 3-5 years working as a Chef or in a lead position for food preparation
- Excellent knowledge of current culinary trends
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
- Strong oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with superior attention to details
- Ability to coordinate, plan and schedule multiple events/projects at the same time
- Initiative and creativity
- Tact, discretion and courtesy essential, even in times of challenging and conflicting demands
- Works effectively under pressure of high volume demands and timelines
- Exercises good judgment; balances competing demands of day-to-day work and frequent interruptions
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently
- Excellent understanding of budget set up, cost/expense tracking and ROI
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Ability to work weekends and nights as required
